Equip Leaders,
Leverage Opportunities,
Initiate Relationships.

The 12Strong Bootcamp prepares Design and Construction managers to leverage the opportunities driven by the market disruptions in the past 20 months.

What it takes to lead a design and construction team in 2026 is way more complicated. People are more complicated. How we approach, design, and build our communities and infrastructure has evolved tremendously. How we lead, inspire, and deploy people and teams has not. The 12Strong Bootcamp equips men and women who choose to lead people and teams; using projects to develop people, not just paychecks.

This 6-week leadership experience includes a two-day Bootcamp. During the event, leaders will:

  • Be equipped with new tools and insights that will enable them to lead high-impact teams
  • Learn and practice new leadership concepts with other Design & Construction peers in the KC area
  • Initiate new potential teaming relationships.
Schedule a quick call with our KC market leader to discuss the Bootcamp in more detail, and learn how to save over $500 per leader you nominate.

New Demands of a Project Leader

What’s required of your team to lead has changed. Being a leader in the design and construction industry was at one time focused on winning and delivering projects, recruiting good people, and empowering them to grow a good firm. The past 20 months have added a long list of responsibilities, concerns, and opportunities to that list.

Leaders are now required to navigate many new disruptions—the global pandemic, recessionary cycles, a post-election year, regulatory confusion, projects that are on hold, and shuffling people and steps of projects to accommodate teams and owners. In this complicated environment and working on-and-off as a virtual or on-site team can feel nearly impossible to be a consistent and inspiring leader.

How are you and your team responding? Are you using these opportunities to further develop your existing leaders and identify new ones? Are you managers and executives prepared personally and professionally to lead through the opportunities moving forward?

What it takes to lead in our industry is beyond classroom leadership skills. It takes the mindset, behaviors, and actions of a Pioneering Leader. A Pioneering Leader is convicted about a need in their community, inspires people, builds a team to serve it — and prospers.

THE GOAL OF THE
12STRONG BOOTCAMP

The goal of the 12Strong Bootcamp is to equip design and construction leaders to interpret market disruptions, leverage emerging opportunities, innovate new solutions, deliver a better building experience, and inspire their teams and the clients they serve.

THE BOOTCAMP GUIDES LEADERS THROUGH TOUGH QUESTIONS

  2. What do I need to know to effectively realign and lead the team?
  3. How do I inspire people?
